A sound I could drink

My ears walk towards you to

taste this beat – tongue to neck,

nail to spine, we embrace.

Motion becomes a web of frozen

moments

So we sway and sweat

gunpowder and stardust coating our skin

Our selves are suspended

all senses alert and alive

We move like we could kill time

without injuring eternity

Like the remedy to all things was to

have you here with me

to hold each other,

grip on with sharp edges and pull until

there is newness again
