For me, rope lowers doubt and increases feelings of safety & security. It feels warm, like a hug, or some kind of stable base to settle into.
I’ve been slacking on my shibari practice, which has cost me moments of embodied joy, time in sacred silence, and the opportunity to use my brain in a different way.
Hence the beginning of Self-tie Tuesdays! Each week, I’ll use rope as a “coping mechanism” and share some sensual self portraits as proof of the practice.
